LiU Life Science Meeting

For the first time the biomedical programmes at Linköping University, BSc Experimental and Industrial Biomedicine and MSc Experimental and Medical Biosciences, organize the Linköping University Life Science Meeting. A one day meeting with a focus to bring together students, graduates and team members with our partners from the life science industry, academia, the health care system and invited international lecturers. The meeting will provide an arena for networking and to make our students aware of the knowledge and skills they already have or will acquire which will be required to work at the forefront of biomedical research and innovation.

Magnus is the principal investigator in charge of the Lundgren Lab at Uppsala University. His group investigates the CRISPR-Cas system which comprises the prokaryote cell’s adaptive and heritable immunity against viral infections. The goal is to better understand the CRISPR-Cas system and find areas for application. Magnus has previously given a lecture at HURS, for which he received a great deal of praise. Keynote lecture: ”The past, present and future of CRISPR-Cas”
